Small business owners are having a torrid time of it at present, a survey by the Bank Of Scotland recently revealed that entrepreneurs are averaging 50 hours a week running their businesses, with many resigned to working longer hours in the face of the credit crunch.
The survey showed that entrepreneurs in Scotland work the longest hours, on average 52hours per week, with those in South East England managing 47hours per week.
In a separate survey by telecommunications company Unicom, 42% of small businesses owners expected not to have a holiday this year, because of mounting pressure from work.

The old saying “you gotta do what you’ve gotta do” is certainly apparent in this circumstance.
Personally, I would be very happy to only have to work 50 hours per week. But then, I don’t see it as a chore (most of the time
