Shriti Vandera Takes On Small Business Role

The department headed by new Business Secretary Peter Mandelson has had some impact for small business owners already.

Mandelson has changed the title of the role held by Shriti Vadera in the Department For Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform, to include a role helping small business in the UK.

Shriti Vandera will now have the title of Minister Of Competiveness and Small Business.

OK, there doesn’t seem a lot of thought went into the title, but it fills a gap for small business owners who have had little or no representation at government level for some time.

Vandera has been involved in several small business initiatives including the push for female entrepreneurs in the UK earlier this year.
